Natural History Museum
Experience history as you've never seen it before at the world famous Natural History
Museum in London. On show are the world's finest natural history artefacts - over
78 million objects in total, displayed within hundreds of exciting, interactive
natural exhibits divided into four zones: Green, Blue, Red and Orange. With free
admission also, it is no surprise that the museum sees more than 3.8 million visitors
every year.
Highlights at the Natural History Museum include the famous 'Dinosaurs' collection
- the ultimate dinosaur exhibition where you can inspect dinosaur skeletons and
sort the facts from the myths, and 'Mammals' where you will see some of the largest
creatures on the planet.
'The Power Within' section is where you will discover what causes earthquakes and
volcanoes, what they feel and look like, and how scientists work to predict them.
The impressive Central Hall is one of the most popular areas of the Natural History
Museum with the 26 metres Diplodocus skeleton and a 1,300-year-old giant sequoia,
whilst the 'Earth's Treasury' gallery features minerals, gems and rocks on display,
from the familiar to unusual.
